s16 Door Cycle Test

The video above shows how we tested the door hinges on the s16 litterbin. The reciprocating arm applies a harsh jerking action to the door placing stresses on the pivots exceeding those which would be experienced in normal use. This test was conducted over several days recording over 6000 cycles. This represents 16 years of opening and closing the bin once a day. After the test was completed we examined and measured the hinge components, no noticeable wear was found.
